Needing Homes

Adoption - Giving them a happy life

Needing Homes

As a small organisation, Fingal S.P.C.A does not possess the necessary funds to run an actual shelter or sanctuary.  All of the animals that we rescue are cared for in the homes of our fostering volunteers or in catteries/kennels until they are adopted.

Before adoption a home check is always required to ensure all animals are well matched with their new families. Advice and support can also be given. Please consult our Adoption Guide to ensure you are ready to welcome your new furry companion in your home.

Please note that an adoption fee/donation of €40.00 is requested for a kitten and €60.00 for a neutered/spayed adult cat to help offset part of the costs incurred to rescue, feed and provide the cat with necessary medical care.

If you would like to adopt any of our animals, please contact our volunteer on 089 4612537 or send an email to our dedicated email.

Shilo

August 20, 2026
Shilo, an 8 month old lady, recently neutered, ready for adoption. She is a little shy but friendly and coming out of her shell more and more every day. Healthy, wormed and litter trained. She can be rehomed as an only cat or with other cats. She gets along with the fosterer's cats and likes time by herself as well. Please get in touch if you are interested in adopting Shilo.

Jack, Josh and Indi

August 19, 2026
Jack, Josh & Indi These three handsome brothers are approximately one year old and are looking for new homes after their family had an unexpected family emergency and could no longer care for them. Jack, Josh and Indi are lovely, relaxed boys who are very comfortable in each other's company. They have their playful moments, but overall they're an easy-going bunch and have lots of affection to give. They are neutered and microchipped and are now looking for families who can give them the stability, care and love they deserve. The boys are very fond of each other, so we'd ideally love to find homes that would allow them to stay together, but we also understand that taking on three cats is a lot to ask. If the right homes come along, we are happy to consider splitting them up, provided each boy has the right home and gets the attention and care he needs. Could you be the forever home for Jack, Josh or Indi, or perhaps even the whole gang? If you'd like to know more about these lovely boys, please get in touch.

Kim

Kim

July 12, 2026
This is Kim. Kim was abandoned and left behind at an apartment block. She was fed by neighbours and didn't know why she couldn't get back into her home. She's friendly and fairly trusting so wasn't abused but it is neglect to move away and leave a cat or any pet to fend for itself. Kim wasn't spayed and had two litters before coming into our care. She is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready for a home of her own. She is around a year old. Kim is used to being outdoors and needs a secure garden/area where she can go and she must have indoor access as well. A committed pet guardian is required for Kim, she must feel confident and not worried about being left by herself again. Home check and adoption fee apply.
Ron1

Ron

July 12, 2026
Ron is approximately 1 years old, he turned up as a stray in January/February 2026 and has been slowly trying to trust humans. He wants to be a pet but hasnt figured out how just yet. He spends all day around the house and will come inside for short periods to explore. He will rub up against his humans when feeding him and occasionally try to bop heads with them, he accepts some pets when hes in the right mood. He can be territorial around food with other cats and he was neutered recently. He's also nervous of children and would take some time to warm up to adults so would need a quiet home. He likes being outdoors but would possibly be fine being indoors too as he has used the litter tray when needed Please contact Melanie on 086 321 6694 if you can adopt Ron. He is young and deserves a chance. Melanie adopted two kittens from Fingal SPCA and if we had room and a suitable fosterer, we would gladly take him. We always need fosterers and if there is someone willing to foster Ron, please let us know. Food and litter is supplied and vets' costs covered

Frank

June 27, 2026
Frank would love to have his own home. Another case of a cat being left behind when his pet guardian moved out. Frank was not neutered and was attempting to get into any house that was friendly and gave him food. He has been under our care with fosterer Josephine for a couple of months and has now relaxed a lot, he knows he gets regular meals and does not have to worry. He is a mischievous cat and will look at you with a glint in his eye, wondering what he will do next. Frank would be better as the only cat, he’s not very sociable with the other foster cats but he is not aggressive. He’s a bit rough when playing and not suitable for young children. But he is very affectionate with people and loves playing, better to play with string toys rather than try to touch him. When he’s relaxed and sitting beside you, loves stroking. Frank is neutered, wormed and litter trained. (
