As a small organisation, Fingal S.P.C.A does not possess the necessary funds to run an actual shelter or sanctuary.  All of the animals that we rescue are cared for in the homes of our fostering volunteers or in catteries/kennels until they are adopted.

Before adoption a home check is always required to ensure all animals are well matched with their new families. Advice and support can also be given. Please consult our Adoption Guide to ensure you are ready to welcome your new furry companion in your home.

Please note that an adoption fee/donation of €40.00 is requested for a kitten and €60.00 for a neutered/spayed adult cat to help offset part of the costs incurred to rescue, feed and provide the cat with necessary medical care.

Amber is a very sweet lady, around 5 years old, has definite preferences as regards the choice of food she eats. She loves playing and enjoys cuddles and strokes. She has come to foster due to her owner passing away and being evicted from her home. Amber is a little nervous and shy at the beginning which is understandable, she was outside her home for a few days before she was rescued. But she is playful and affectionate. She likes other cats and is suitable as an indoor cat.

Ruby is a beautiful coloured tabby with orange markings, around 8-9 years old. Very gentle nature, affectionate, is a lap cat. She became homeless when her owner passed away and was taken into foster. She is a little shy at the start which is understandable, she has had a big change in her life but will come around quickly and respond to attention. She loves her food and is easily petted while eating. Ruby likes other cats and is sociable.

Bread and Butter – The Perfect Pair! These adorable 5-month-old siblings truly go together like their namesakes. They’re shy by nature but thrive when they’re together, giving each other the confidence to explore and grow. Bread (ginger boy): Bread is a playful and clever little guy who’s always up for an adventure – especially if food is involved! While he’s not the biggest fan of cuddles, he’s highly trainable, loves a good toy, and will happily accept pets when he’s winding down after a day of fun. Butter (black and white girl): Butter has the makings of a lap cat but could use a little more of her brother’s confidence when it comes to people. She’s happy to be picked up and enjoys cuddling for a while before deciding she’s had enough. These sweethearts are great with other cats and would love a home where they can stick together. They’ll need someone with patience and experience with shy kittens – or simply a kind heart willing to help them find their footing in the world. If you’re ready to provide a loving, understanding home for this bonded duo, Bread and Butter will reward you with plenty of joy and endless cuteness!

FOR ADOPTION TOGETHER Ice is a male all white cat. (Hearing) born on 8th February 2022. He is lovely and playful. Strong willed. Predominantly a house cat but does like access to the garden. Loves his food and will go searching cupboards if he thinks he can find something. He is chipped and neutered. Aspen is an all white deaf female with heterochromia (two different coloured eyes). She is lovely and sweet. Enjoys her comfort. She is ice’s twin sister. Also indoor cat but massively enjoys access to outdoors especially trees. Both have been raised with small dog and a young child. Both are litter trained and neutered and chipped.

Joey is a 6 year old cat looking for a new home, due to the ill health of his present owner. He has been very well cared for and a home visit will be done by Fingal SPCA to ensure Joey gets a home where he is cared for as he deserves.
