Special Appeal – Meet Raheny!
Originally, Raheny was meant to be a TNR case. But the moment she was trapped, we knew there was a sweet, gentle cat hiding behind those worried eyes who deserved the chance to find a family of her own.
At around a year old, Raheny is still just a youngster. She is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, health checked and ready to find her forever home.
Things Raheny loves
Chicken! She'd probably walk straight back into the trap for it!
Cosy hideaways. Cat carriers, little dens and quiet corners are her favourite places to nap before heading back out to see what's happening.
Gentle pets. Once she knows you, she absolutely loves fuss and will even tap your hand when she wants more.
Her toy mouse. We're already on mouse number three!
Other cats. She enjoys feline company but would also be happy as the only cat in a calm home.
Cat TV. Birds, squirrels or fish on YouTube? She's absolutely obsessed!
Her perfect home
Raheny is a gentle, sensitive girl who needs a little time to settle into new surroundings. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate and loves spending time near her people.
Sudden loud noises and busy environments can still startle her, so we'd love to find her a calm, adult-only home or one with older, understanding children. She is looking for a safe, indoor-only home where she can continue to blossom.
Over the last few months we've watched Raheny transform from a frightened little cat into one who waits at the door to greet us, asks for pets with a gentle tap of her paw, and happily curls up nearby while we work.
