Needing Homes

Adoption - Giving them a happy life

Needing Homes

As a small organisation, Fingal S.P.C.A does not possess the necessary funds to run an actual shelter or sanctuary.  All of the animals that we rescue are cared for in the homes of our fostering volunteers or in catteries/kennels until they are adopted.

Before adoption a home check is always required to ensure all animals are well matched with their new families. Advice and support can also be given. Please consult our Adoption Guide to ensure you are ready to welcome your new furry companion in your home.

Please note that an adoption fee/donation of €40.00 is requested for a kitten and €60.00 for a neutered/spayed adult cat to help offset part of the costs incurred to rescue, feed and provide the cat with necessary medical care.

If you would like to adopt any of our animals, please contact our volunteer on 089 4612537 or send an email to our dedicated email.

Millie

Meet Millie! A beautiful quiet girl looking for her new home. She came into our care recently as her elderly owner is unable to look after her. She's about 10 years old and recently had some dental work done otherwise she's in good health. She's very affectionate, and quiet, sits by the window watching the world go by, she just wants to be loved, she has long hair which will need to be brushed regularly. She's spayed and litter trained but not vaccinated. A quiet home with no other cats would be ideal for her, she's used to being outdoors but prefers to be in. If you are interested in adopting Millie, please get in touch. Home check and adoption fee required.

Robin will make a lovely pet in the right home, maybe to a sole person or a couple. Please get in touch for more information on Robin.
Auguste

Auguste

November 8, 2025
Auguste is ready for adoption to an experienced cat owner home. He is about 5/6 months old, neutered, wormed and vet checked. He is a very playful, curious cat and loves to explore every nook and cranny. He gets excited when playing and can scratch or bite in a playful manner so not suitable for children. He loves his toys. He is not a bit aggressive and loves to cuddle up beside you on the couch or on the bed. He won't scratch if allowed to come for cuddles and play on his own terms. Auguste was friendly and obviously used to people when he was rescued and had been straying for a week or two. No one came forward to claim him and it's possible he was dumped because of his nibbling and scratching. Someone couldn't be bothered to contact a rescue to say they couldn't keep him. In foster care, he is improving at keeping his claws in with some guidance from the fosterer. Auguste has white ears with very little fur on them and will need children's factor 50 sun cream going out in the sun as he will be prone to skin cancer. Please contact Fingal SPCA if you can offer this lovely big playful kitten a home. Home check applies.
